Sheriff John Stone (Reward For Effort) won the money at Caulfield on Sunday in the $120,000 Handicap, with owner/breeder Greg Peters also pocketing the $30,000 VOBIS Bonus.

The horse know as ‘The Sheriff’ has been a consistent performer for Aaron Purcell and was given every opportunity from Brandon Stockdale in the saddle. Replay.

Greg Peters has been a loyal friend and client of Chatswood Stud for many years and is a shareholder in Reward For Effort. He sent the well-related River Bypass to Reward in 2013, producing Sheriff John Stone who was born and raised at Chatswood. He was offered in Session 2 of the Inglis Premier Sale where he was passed in for $19k. The Sheriff has been previously Stakes Placed at Flemington before his breakthrough Caulfield victory and has now earned over $210k in his 16 starts.
