Chatswood Stud is delighted to announce our newest team members, Luke and Mags Anderson; a couple who have forged a great reputation in all aspects of breeding and management with exceptional results in the sales ring.
Recently arriving in Australia from New Zealand, (where they met and worked at the esteemed Cambridge Stud), their combined experience is an asset to both our business and our industry.
As Stud Manager, Luke brings vast experience in all facets of Stud Management including foaling, stallion management, conformational trimming of young foals, management of reproductive work, pasture / farm management, training and managing staff and liaising with clients.
Taking on the role of Yearling Manager, Mags brings to Chatswood her outstanding reputation for the care and management of young horses through to Yearling sale toppers with rave reviews from many of Australasia’s top agents and trainers.
Yearling Manager for 10 years at Cambridge Stud, Mags raised and prepared the then highest priced yearling ever auctioned in Australasia (Don Eduardo $3.6 million – who then went on to win the AJC Derby) and the then highest priced filly at an Australasian sale (Shower of Roses $1.2 million – who then went on to win the STC Arrowfield.) These feats were only surpassed this year at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sales.
Mags talent and experience will be fully utilized with the first Reward for Effort yearlings going to sale early next year.
Known for their exceptional horsemanship, Luke and Mags come to Chatswood Stud with the essential attributes for outstanding success.
